🚀 Getting Started with Deeptrue

Try your first real-time translation session

Deeptrue helps you speak and understand any language in your meetings, live and in real time on any platform. In this quick guide, you’ll go from download to your first translated conversation in just a few minutes.

1. 📝 Sign Up and Download the App

2. 🔐 Log in and start onboarding

When you launch the app for the first time, log in using your new account.

When you first log in to the app, the onboarding process will begin.

3. 🎛️ Choose Your Mode

After selecting your languages (e.g. English as your language and Spanish as your partner’s), you’ll see:

“How would you like to communicate?”

This helps Deeptrue decide how to support you:

  • Select 'I'll speak myself', if you want to speak Spanish yourself and get a little help. Deeptrue will show you what to say next in Spanish, so you can simply read it out loud.
  • Select 'AI speaks for me', if you don’t speak Spanish at all. You can just speak in English, and Deeptrue will automatically translate and speak for you through a virtual microphone.

4. ✅ Check the required permission

As part of this, Deeptrue will ask for a few permissions to function properly:

  • Microphone Access (macOS only) – To hear your voice
  • Screen Recording (macOS only) – To hear voices from your meeting apps (e.g. Zoom)
  • Install Deeptrue Microphone (Interpreter mode only) – So translated speech can be sent back to your mic

💡 Note
If the virtual audio installation fails, check our Virtual Audio Driver Troubleshooting Guide for help.

 5. 🎙 Start your first session

After you finish onboarding, the Deeptrue toolbar will appear and will already be set up based on your selections.

Click the 'Start' button to begin. The app will start listening, and within about 10 seconds, the translation window will open.

 6. Practice Mode starts now

If it’s your first time using Deeptrue, Practice Mode will be automatically enabled for the tutorial.

You’ll see a window with preset scenarios.

  • Choose a scenario that fits your situation, such as a Sales Call.
  • Click Start Practice Mode.
🎧 For best results, we recommend using earphones or a headset with a built-in microphone.

The Deeptrue agent will start a sample conversation based on your selection.

Try speaking in the language you selected. Your message will be transcribed and translated in real time.

Need help? Click the Auto button in the Smart Suggestion section below the input box to get a translated sentence.

Say it out loud. It’ll keep the conversation going based on your message.

That’s it! Once you’re done, click the 'Stop' button again to end the session.

🌎 You’ve just completed your first real-time translation session!

But this is just the beginning.

In the next guide, we’ll show you how to connect Deeptrue to platforms like Zoom and Google Meet and use Interpreter Mode so that others can hear your translated voice in real time, just like a professional interpreter.

Ready to try it for real? Let’s go! 🎙
